AI Transparency Notice

Version 1.0-draft · Effective: [to be set at launch] · Reviewed every 6 months and upon any change of AI features or providers.

Draft for review by qualified counsel before publication. Operated by Digital Aequitas Strategy S.R.L.

Purpose

This notice explains where and how Aequitas EU Market Passport uses artificial intelligence, consistent with Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (AI Act) transparency principles and our own product standards. We distinguish clearly between transparency towards users (this notice and in-product disclosures), machine-readable technical marking of AI-generated content, and any platform or content-specific obligations — these are separate obligations under separate regimes and none substitutes for another.

Where AI is used

The assessment engine itself is deterministic and rule-based: applicable regimes, risk flags and scores are produced by versioned legal rule packs, not by a language model. AI (including third-party LLM APIs) may be used for: drafting narrative sections of reports; summarising your uploaded documents; and support assistance. Wherever you interact directly with an AI feature, this is disclosed at the point of interaction.

How we handle AI outputs

AI-generated sections in reports are marked as AI-generated. Confidence levels and legal-source traceability accompany substantive statements. Outputs must be reviewed by qualified professionals before being relied on; the product recommends human review in every report. Where feasible, AI-assisted processing can be disabled in settings without losing the core rule-based assessment.

Your inputs and third-party AI providers

Before any input is sent to a third-party AI provider, we disclose this in-product. Current provider(s): [LLM provider placeholder]. Inputs are not used for model training unless the provider contractually commits to no-training processing; see the Subprocessor List. Prompt and output logs are retained per the retention schedule and are accessible to you.

Role under the AI Act

For the AI features embedded in this product, Digital Aequitas Strategy S.R.L. acts as deployer of third-party general-purpose AI systems [role classification to be legally verified per feature]. Interaction disclosures under Art. 50(1) apply from 2 August 2026 and are already implemented.
